A Cowardly Terrorist Attack took place in J&K. Militants ambushed tourists in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district of south Kashmir this afternoon. The incident took place in the Baisaran valley of Pahalgam. So far, 26 tourists died, two foreigners among them and 10 tourists were injured. A joint search operation is being carried out by the Army, paramilitary forces and J&K Police.

Today, Tuesday, at around 3 pm, the Baisaran area came down from the hills. This Baisaran area is known as the ‘Mini Switzerland’ of India. At that time, many tourists were enjoying their tour there. Suddenly, some terrorists opened fire on the tourists.
Kashmir has always been an emotional place for India. Keeping in mind the geographical aspect and the tourism industry, the current government has taken many developmental steps for Kashmir. Due to which order was maintained in Kashmir. But suddenly after so long, the terrorist attack in Kashmir has again increased the concerns of the government and all the security forces.
🔸 Behind this Attack :
The attack is said to be the work of the Kashmir-based militant group ‘The Resistance Front‘ (TRF). This militant group is controlled by the Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba. So far, twenty tourists have been reported dead. Official figures are not yet available. However, it is believed that the number of dead and injured may increase.
The Pahalgam attack is one of the worst terrorist attacks in Kashmir, especially after the abrogation of Article 370, where militants directly targeted tourists.

🔹 About TRF :
This ‘The Resistance Front’ militant organization is said to be a proxy organization of the Pakistani militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to a report, this organization emerged after the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. The militant organization was generally made up of Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e- taiba’s cadres. The head of this terrorist group was Sheikh Sajjad Gul and the main operational commander was Basit Ahmed Dar.
In 2022, TRF leader Gul was declared a terrorist by the Indian government. A 2022 report revealed that out of 172 militants killed in J&K that year, 108 were associated with the TRF group. In 2023, the Indian Home Ministry banned the TRF organization for its illegal activities. The government issued a statement saying that “TRF’s activities are detrimental to India’s national security and sovereignty.”

A Cowardly Terrorist Attack took place in J&K. This heinous terrorist attack on civilian tourists in Pahalgam has been termed as a condemnable incident by all political circles. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a foreign tour. After hearing about this incident, he immediately spoke to Amit Shah on an urgent basis. It is learnt that Amit Shah is going to Jammu and Kashmir in this state of emergency.
Following this terrorist incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chosen to return from his trip to Saudi Arabia earlier than anticipated. Amit Shah was instructed by Modi to take all “appropriate measures.” The Home Minister is expected to visit Pahalgam tomorrow after holding an urgent security assessment meeting with L-G Manoj Sinha.
Speaker Om Birla : “My condolences to the families of the civilians who lost their lives in this attack. I pray to God for the repose of the souls of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured,” he wrote on X.
PM of India Narendra Modi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, offering his condolences to those who lost their loved ones. “I pray for a speedy recovery of the injured. All possible assistance is being provided to the affected,” he said in a post on X.
Modi said, “Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice… they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed.” Stating that the government’s resolve in the fight against terrorism is unwavering, he said, “It will only get stronger.”
Chief minister Omar Abdullah:
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that the “attack on visitors is a heinous act”. In a post on X, Abdullah said that the perpetrators of the attack were “animals, inhumane and deserving of contempt. No words of condemnation are enough. I offer my condolences to the families of the victims”.
Rajnath Singh : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said he was “deeply shocked by the news of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir)”.
Expressing his condolences and prayers for the innocent victims and their families, Singh said, “This cowardly attack on innocent civilians is cowardly and highly condemnable”.
Donald Trump : US President Donald Trump expressed his condolences for the terror incident in Kashmir on Tuesday, stating that the US and India are united in their fight against terrorism and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian people “have our full support.”
“Very alarming information from Kashmir. In the fight against terrorism, the United States is united with India. We offer prayers for the healing of the wounded and for the souls of the deceased. Our sympathies and complete support are with Prime Minister Modi and the amazing people of India. We are thinking of you all. In a post on Truth Social, Trump remarked.
Vladimir Putin:
Putin expressed his hope that the “organizers and perpetrators will face appropriate punishment” for this horrible act, confirming that there is “no justification for it.” He stated that he would like to reaffirm his dedication to strengthening collaboration with Indian allies in the battle against terrorism in all of its guises.
✴️ Horrible Experience of Tourists:
A Cowardly Terrorist Attack took place in J&K. There were about 40 tourists on the grassy plain when at least 10 terrorists opened fire with automatic rifles. The militants reportedly shot the tourists at close range. Before carrying out the brutal killings, the militants had asked the tourists about their religion. According to eyewitnesses, they targeted non-Muslims.
Survivors provided a comprehensive account of how the attack started, according to police officers who spoke with them. “From the thick bush, three or four soldiers wearing ‘uniforms’ descended. They wanted to know our names and religion. A policeman was quoted by an official as saying, “We thought they were police.” “They suddenly started shooting at the guys, but the women were untouched. Some of the males were shot at close range. They claimed that the terrorists fired indiscriminately, killing everybody who attempted to flee as well.
